Job Overview
As an Associate Mechanical Engineering, you will play a critical role in configuring and delivering customized product solutions for GEA’s customers. This includes creating and managing technical documentation, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and regulatory standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support product lifecycle management and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Order Configuration
- Utilize the Product Configurator to create accurate drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Ensure that configurations align with customer-specific requirements.
- Construction Dossier Updates
- Modify mechanical designs, drawings, and calculations based on customer needs.
- Prepare risk analyses, test specifications, and manual documentation as needed.
- Technical Support
- Act as a technical resource for Sales, Operations, and Service teams.
- Address product-related inquiries and provide guidance.
- Product Lifecycle Management
- Contribute to product maintenance and lifecycle improvement efforts.
- Project Consultation
- Collaborate with project managers to evaluate feasibility, establish timelines, and assess planning impacts.
- Design Optimization
- Focus on modular product design, cost efficiency, CE regulation compliance, standardization, manufacturability, and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in product configuration, mechanical design, or similar roles involving customer-specific solutions.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
- Understanding of BOM management systems and CE regulatory standards.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex configurations.
