Position – Engineer – Generator Auxiliary Mechanical

Job description

Perform Basic Design & calculations and prepare P&IDs, and specifications for Generator auxiliaries’ systems.
Checking & releasing of final manufacturing & arrangement drawings including BoM received from Product definition or Suppliers

Position in the Organisation

To understand the specification of the project, product, customer requirement, Generator operating parameters, and operating sequences of the Hydropower plant
Perform Basic Design and calculations for Generator auxiliary systems such as Braking, Lifting, Thrust bearing oil injection, Oil mist exhaust, Brake dust exhaust, Carbon dust exhaust, Firefighting system, water coolers, Oil-water coolers for bearings, and their piping’s layout.
Prepare technical specifications and drawings specifying design requirements.
Manage and execute work packages with the Product definition team.
Working with suppliers for defining, improving, or cost out during the design phase.
Support to Supply chain during the execution phase

Execute with required Quality, within budget and lead times specified.

Measurement

On time delivery, Quality, Cost (components, engg hours)

Candidate Requirements

Educational Requirements: B. E. (Mechanical)

At least 1 year in the design of Hydro Generator auxiliary systems. Total experience desired > 4 years
Experienced in understanding engineering requirements of Hydro Generator
Applied knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical engg, Piping standards, Heat exchangers
Experienced in preparing design specifications for components mentioned in ‘responsibilities.
Experienced in Design & Engineering Processes
Good level in ‘MS Office” Application
User Level SAP System, PLM (CORELLA)
Experienced in CAD tools preferably AUTOCAD and UG NX
