Job Description Summary

Manufacturing Specialist – Process Automation will be responsible for all automation programs, Wing to Wing, for CoE and achieving business goals for process automation. The role requires close collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Customer for successful implementation of new solutions and changes. Key focus area – manufacturing process study, new solution identification, design, development, qualification, and implementation in production. Sustenance of process Improvements and Automation.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • To execute Automation Projects in Metal Forming, Metal Joining, and inspection and Testing, enabling improvement in Business Outcomes.
  • This role will be responsible for the schedule, budget, and scope of projects · Manage internal and external resources to achieve project goals ·
  • Assure safety standards are communicated and met Identify requirements, timing, and lead the project team.
  • Monitor project progress and provide routine budget and schedule updates to management
  • Work closely with manufacturing Engineering, Sourcing, and engineering teams during the conceptualization/implementation of new solutions.
  • Monitoring and improving productivity, while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality, and cost-conscious manner.
  • Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for driving improvements & execution on the shop.
  • Collaborates flawlessly with multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
  • Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within the field.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial, Production Engineering or Equivalent from a reputed college /university with any Post-Graduation studies / Certifications in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning.
  • Minimum of 1-5 years hands-on experience in Aerospace, Defense & Space, or Precision Equipment industry with metal forming, metal joining operations automation using Robotics, Custom Solutions, etc.
  • Hands-on expertise in developing automation solutions and implementation for the Fabrication industry (Welding, Assembly, Material handling)
  • Certifications / Training with CAD software like – Unigraphics, and AutoCAD.
