Position – Senior Design Engineer

Job description
- Interface cross-functionally with sourcing, product management, manufacturing and technology to execute MCTO projects.
- Develop design plans, project schedules, and evaluations plans required for successful project execution.
- Lead technical project reviews with over-site from safety, regulatory, and senior technical leaders.
- Manage resolution of technical issues, problem analysis and use FRACAS rigor to close any test failures.
- Execute multiple concurrent projects, utilizing solid technical background, influencing skills and outstanding organization.
- Use DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) and DFR (Design for Reliability) methodology to prove and implement new and modified designs.
Qualifications & Skills
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree
- A self-starting leader with 7 or more years of engineering experience or equivalent with excellent verbal, written lid written, and oral communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling software.
- Experienced with FMEA’s, product risk assessments, evaluation plan development, fishbone diagrams, tolerance loops, and design change processes.
- Home Laundry Experience with strong general knowledge of clothes washer & dryer design
- Certified Reliability Engineering or other quality certification
- DFSS Green Belt certification
- Proven ability to influence and drive change and implement projects into factories
- Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and be capable of performing tolerance stack-up calculations.
