Role Description:

The Sr. Sales Engineer(Projects & OEM) is responsible for building a strong understanding of customer needs and serves customers by engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services. This position works with multiple functions within the business including engineering, operations, CSD, service and business development to accomplish segment targets & growth goals. This position requires a customer-centric mind-set in order to identify current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and new customers and others in a position to understand requirements.

  • 2 to 3 years sales experience in industrial products. Mechanical engineer responsible for effective coverage of OEMs, Contractors, Consultants & new Projects (Will be based at Chandigarh) covering Himachal pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab
  • Building Relationship with Customers
  • Observation skill (with Objective)
  • Competence to derive the solution & conviction to drive initiatives (Referencing)
  • Selling and Negotiation Skills

Desired Candidate Profile :

  • Experience in selling Industrial products which involve engineering / tailor made offerings to customers based on Benefit.
  • Selling to any Industrial customer base preferably Paper, Textile and Garment, Food and Beverages, Pharma & Chemical
  • Role and Responsibility: Responsible for coverage of existing customer base and add customers on an ongoing basis for :
  • Capturing new project information systematically and working with consultants, contractors and agencies to get leads.
  • Analysing the details and providing solutions based on benefits/savings.
  • Mapping Forbes Marshall and other steam products installed base with performance on OEM P&I s
  • Defining decision making hierarchy at customers end
  • Submitting proposals in line with potential and getting systematic repeated business.
  • Business – starting with Core Product ranges to the large value with the benefit of savings to customers. Focus on high quality business.
  • Documenting benefits for customers.
  • Completing the sales cycle of Generating business, getting orders, providing commissioning help, benefits documentation, payment collection.
  • Analysis of Market trends, potential of Business, Business plans, Strive to achieve individual and organizational targets consistently

Behavioural / Skills :

  • Self-starter and owns the business. Communication skills and ability to get along with people. Initiative and ambition to grow.
  • Sales and marketing people from Boilers, Pumps Industry, Compressors, dealing in process equipment.

Educational Qualification: B. E. Mechanical

Work Experience: 2 to 3 years
