Job description

Role Summary:

The Engineer Associate role in System Order Engineering involves supporting the design and development of devices, assemblies, or systems to be produced through production manufacturing processes for various business units. The role includes managing time-bound projects, performing tasks associated with product design, and re-engineering jobs. The Engineer Associate will contribute to order engineering while aligning with business objectives, ensuring overall quality control, and driving productivity improvements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Execution & Support:
    • Execute engineering tasks based on work instructions with minimal supervision.
    • Handle the design of complicated components for wet & dry gas systems.
    • Manage complex assemblies for special/non-standard products.
  • Engineering Practices:
    • Implement best engineering practices and lessons learned to drive efficiency.
    • Apply Kaizen principles to enhance productivity.
    • Support tasks related to re-engineering, retrofit jobs, and new product development.
  • Design & Development:
    • Ensure correctness and quality of designs for downstream processes.
    • Generate bills of material and manufacturing drawings.
    • Perform engineering analysis under supervision, ensuring alignment with international and Flowserve standards.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify process improvement initiatives and lead time reduction activities.
    • Drive product cost reduction and implement Lean methodologies for continuous improvements.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work effectively with teams, internal and external customers, and cross-functional departments.
    • Provide responses to internal and external feedback with detailed, accurate designs and solutions.
  • Quality & Timeliness:
    • Ensure tasks are completed on time with high accuracy, meeting Key Quality Indicators (KQI).
    • Maintain Certified Designer status and align designs with ASME, ANSI, and API standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Engineering Diploma in Mechanical/Production discipline (3-year course) with 5+ years of experience, or
    • Engineering Graduate with 1-3 years of relevant industry experience (preferably with seals industry).
  • Skills & Experience:
    • Strong experience in 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks.
    • Experience with plant piping, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and boilers.
    • Sound knowledge of international standards such as ASME, ANSI, and API.
    • Proficiency in IT tools (Windows, MS Office, PLM).
