Engineer Associate

Reporting to

Supervisor, Engineering or Manager, Engineering

Position Summary

Responsible for Design and Development of Valve and Actuators, & BOM Release in Oracle ERP.

Position Competency

Ability to design, model, and detail valve/actuators in Solidworks.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, procedures, international codes, and standards, or governmental regulations.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from both internal and external customers.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Proficient in mechanical engineering core subjects, and computer-aided drafting. Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. (GD&T) Familiarity with Electrical, pneumatic, and electro-pneumatic control instrument valves.
Communicate professionally and with accepted business etiquette; work well with people in other departments and with customers.
Ability to use a variety of test equipment and interpret test results. Ability to initiate corrective and preventive action plan.

General Competencies

Good Communication Skills.
Creative thinker, vibrant, and a good team player.
Knowledge and hands-on experience in Industrial Valve design. (Linear / Rotary Valves)
Knowledge in CAD/CAE Packages Solidworks, Ansys, or Autodesk Inventor. Hands-on experience in BOM Preparation with Oracle / SAP or any other ERP.

Qualification

BE/BTech in Mechanical/Production/Foundry Engineering preferred.

Experience

BE/BTech with a minimum of 3 years experience or a Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial valve design from a reputed company.
