Role Summary:

The Engineer, Associate role involves planning, directing, and coordinating manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, and testing. The role focuses on improving quality, cost, and delivery using Lean and Six Sigma tools while troubleshooting technical issues in production.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement manufacturing methods to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Investigate, justify, and manage capital equipment acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Supervisors to achieve company goals.
  • Provide engineering support for CNC programming, tooling, and fixtures to meet production demands.
  • Troubleshoot processes and equipment to minimize production delays.
  • Track and ensure timely completion of capital projects within budget.
  • Stay updated on advancements in tooling, methods, and machine tool equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and Flowserve’s environmental policies.
  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives for cost reduction.
  • Treat all customers and employees with respect and demonstrate teamwork.

Requirements:

  • Mandatory: Experience with NX Software.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in driving cost reductions in manufacturing using Continuous Improvement Methodologies.
  • Familiarity with safety rules, engineering drawings, and technical documents.
  • Strong communication skills for correspondence and presentations.
  • Advanced knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, algebra, and statistical theory.
  • Problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or engineering environments.
