Job description

Role Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for Product Engineering activities (Job Order execution, Product improvement) of Gas-Hydraulic actuators.

This position has daily interface with the Manufacturing, Sales, Service, Quality Assurance departments + Other Actuation Engineering sites and works on a variety of assignments from order engineering to design enhancements.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Process ETO production orders for all product lines
• Perform design modifications to existing components for cost reduction and compliance to specific customer requirements
• Create, revise and maintain assembly bills of material
• Provide technical support to other departments
• Evaluation and testing of new designs
• Analysis and troubleshooting of failed components
• Evaluation of dimensional variances on machined components
• Creation and maintenance of procedures, forms and technical documentation
• Assist with 3rd party certification agency audits and documentation when needed
• Interface with global engineering partners to support production needs worldwide.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• 2-3 years’ experience minimum.
• Proficiency with machine component selection
• Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing experience
• Travel Requirements: Less than 15%

Preferred Skills & Abilities:

• Experience working with mechanical industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Experience specifying materials for various applications (steels, polymers, lubricants, seals, paint, etc.)
• Experience performing failure analysis of mechanical components
• Experience with component and/or assembly testing and evaluation
• Ability to multi-task, self-starter, establish priorities under the guidance of a supervisor
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
• Ability to coordinate work efforts with Sales, Service Quality, and Manufacturing
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
