Role Summary:

As a Design Engineer – Pumps, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating manufacturing processes involving machining, assembly, and testing. You will design, develop, and improve manufacturing methods using your expertise in product design, materials, fabrication processes, and production techniques. The role also includes troubleshooting production issues and driving quality, cost, and delivery improvements using Lean and Six Sigma tools.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform design calculations, and layouts, and create Bills of Materials (BOM).
  • Create and interpret engineering drawings and documents using drafting standards (ANSI Y 14.5).
  • Utilize 3D modeling tools (SolidWorks) and 2D drafting techniques for pump designs.
  • Conducted design reviews and ensured compliance with ASME, API, DIN standards, and material specifications.
  • Support manufacturing teams with technical troubleshooting and improve product designs for enhanced performance.
  • Hands-on involvement in pump assembly, repair, and servicing is an added advantage.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 3–4 years of experience in pump design or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and engineering drafting standards.
  • Hands-on expertise in pump assembly and servicing.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME, API, and DIN design specifications.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling (SolidWorks) and design software.
  • Experience in Lean and Six Sigma practices for process improvement.
