Job description

Role Summary:

This position involves the design and engineering of pump packages, components, and layouts, along with the preparation of a bill of materials and project-related technical documentation. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, timely, and compliant designs that meet customer expectations while adhering to established engineering standards.

Accountabilities:

• Complex Assignments: Handle varied and complex design tasks with minimal supervision, leveraging functional knowledge and past experience.
• Project Scope & Delivery: Gather inputs, understand scope, and deliver tasks that exceed customer expectations. Provide timely status updates to all stakeholders.
• Compliance: Follow engineering standards and procedures to ensure reliable results. Verify designs for compliance with specifications, form, fit, function, and safety.
• Documentation: Produce clear, accurate documentation, including drawings, analysis reports, and part lists, ensuring on-time and quality delivery.
• Self-Checking: Review designs to confirm compliance and ease of manufacturing and assembly.
• Continuous Development: Maintain and develop technical and interpersonal skills, in full compliance with company policies.

Position Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant design experience, preferably in pumps or rotating equipment.
• Technical Skills:
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/documents.
  • Proficient in GD&T and ANSI Y 14.5 drafting standards.
  • Experience with 3D design (SolidWorks) for pump upgrades, parts, and AMU.
  • Knowledge of ASME/API/DIN design standards and material specifications.
  • Familiarity with pump assembly, repair, and servicing is an advantage.
• Software Proficiency: Familiar with Windows, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
