Role Summary :
This position is responsible for design automation and configuration systems.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Performs work that is varied and complex, under direct supervision. Consistently applies knowledge of functional concepts and prior experience to work assignments.
- Gather all relevant information for each assignment, identify, and communicate effectively. Timely status update to task owner.
- Follow established engineering standards and procedures for design automation to produce consistent and reliable results.
- Deliver clear and complete engineering solutions, as per the deliverables of the assignment, ensuring On-time delivery and quality.
- Develop and maintain automated design and configuration systems using design automation tools and other interpersonal skills, always in full compliance with company policies, using the resources productively and innovatively.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of automated design processes, rules, and configurations to ensure easy scalability and troubleshooting.
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal) .
- Creative thinker, Vibrant, good team player.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, and product managers, to create efficient and customizable product designs.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 3 to 5 years or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5 to 7 years of design automation or related experience
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge and working experience of any product configurator and automation tool, experience in rules and logic building and data management (DriveWorks is preferred).
- Prior experience in CAD system integration and software development is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., VBScript, C#, Python) for customizing and enhancing design automation solutions, is preferred.
