Position – Design Engineer

Job description

This position will provide design support for product development projects for PD blowers and
Vacuum Pumps

Support Design Engineering projects like NPD, NTI and Life Cycle Sustaining activities.

Collaborate with other design and product engineers to support the projects.
Strong understanding of sheet metal part design, casting part design and machined components as per ASME and IR standards.
Sound knowledge of GD&T and its applications in solving engineering problems
Prepare/maintenance of Engineering documentation, bill of material and change notices.
Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams and project partners.
Provides design support for current production parts and products.
Identify areas requiring analysis. Perform design analysis and calculations with accuracy.
Follow good engineering practices and develop practical solutions

Hands-on experience on CAD Modelling and Drawing creation using tools like Autodesk
Inventor, Solidworks and Creo

Having Windchill/SAP experience will be added advantage
Hands-on experience in NPD / VAVE / Sustenance projects.
Proficiency in creating part drawings, exploded view drawings, GA drawings and assembly instructions using any of the CAD tools
Good knowledge on Bill of Materials.
Good Oral and Written communication skills.
Must be able to adjust to changing demands, priorities and objectives.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to conduct business in English
Proactive, self-motivated individual with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, giving high-quality output
Conversant with Microsoft Office tools – Word; Excel; PPT
Team player and enthusiastic learner
