Job description
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE / FUNCTIONAL CONTEXT:
Quality Engineer – Manufacturing & Assembly will handle Inspection of Incoming Materials and Stage wise Inspection, including Final Product Inspection and lead Product & Process Audits Independently. Will be an interface between Cross-functional teams, Engineering (Design), Purchase and the Manufacturing in process of implementing required quality standards to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize non-value-added costs, whilst ensuring adheres procedures and processes are adhered without any deviations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure safety First – always.
- Ensure the inspection carried out as planned for parts and products and reported in M3.
- Ensure the Processes & Documentation as per ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, 45001:2018 Systems.
- Set up the effective Quality Assurance System.
- Should be willing & able to Trouble shoot the problems in Machine Shop and Suppliers location.
- Ensure availability of all the Gauges & measuring Instruments in Quality Dept. & Machine Shop.
- Contribute to PK reductions through i.e. productivity improvements, process improvements.
- Ensure strict adherence to Business Code of Practice.
- As and when required, visit the machining suppliers for Inspection, Audits, Quality Issues and Improvements & Projects.
- Focus on Continual improvement Projects (LEAN Management Systems).
- Ensure the inspection records are updated and filing done immediately at Incoming & Final inspection
- Monitor the Inspection (Production) plan vs actual and update the records.
- Identify the quality issues related product and/or processes throughout the plant highlight & communicate through mail and/or at relevant meetings.
- Participate in daily Non-conformance meeting, report the rejections in M3 and dispose the NC material accordingly.
- Circulate the shift wise NC details with preliminary analysis report by coordinating with Production Shift Engineer.
- Update the rejections, Rework and AUC details at Monthly / YTD file at server folder.
- Perform Process assurance audit and ensure its effectiveness for all product lines
- Ensure the Measuring instruments & testing equipment are calibrated on time and monitoring & maintaining the records asper NABL requirements.
- Perform the Risk assessment (aspect impact study for the Environmental and HIRA for health & safety) once in year and update RPN score in the documents with engineering controls and Management Programs for the Quality department & Inspection activities.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Qualification and Experience: Diploma/B.E./B. Tech – Mechanical Engineering with 1 to 3 years of experience in Quality function in Production facility (Automobile or Engineering Industry).
Knowledge:
- Through Knowledge of handling measuring Instruments.
- Knowledge in CMM Operation, CNC turning & Auto-cad will have added advantage.
- knowledge of Quality Audit procedures & relevant standards of ISO 9001: 2015.
- Basic Knowledge in Quality tools FMEA, MSA & PPAP & APQP
- Basic knowledge of Metallurgy.
- Basic knowledge of different grades of raw material.
- Proven analytical ability
- Knowledge of Infor M3.
