Job description
Designation / Role Name – Application Engineer
Years of Experience to be hired – 3-4 yrs
Responsibilities:
- Review and prepare project guidelines for quotations based on technical specifications.
- Clarify doubts on technical specifications/project guidelines through conference calls with the Sales office/impact partner.
- Prepare Technical and Commercial quotes, and technical deviation lists and generate reports and drawings.
- Should be capable to support sever/critical service applications for any project-based enquiries with support from senior engineers.
- Contact GIS/SPG teams as and when required for critical application solutions.
- Support the Sales office after the issue of PO and prepare transactions for order entry
- Provide technical support for OE /factory clarifications and assist with change orders
- Established as one of the contact points for specific Sales/LBP to send projects
- Getting exposed to TBE meetings with customers
- MIB-based product selection for quotes in concurrence with LBP’s.
- Provide support on MRO opportunities, SPIR, and RSPL generation jobs.
- Prepare transaction for order entry after issue of PO.
- Maintain records of all work done.
- Experience level required is 3+ yrs
Knowledge and Skills
- Degree in Mechanical/Instrumentation/Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering.
- Basic Computer Knowledge, Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of product specifications and Incoterms
- Background in valve or related industry
- Preferred – Basic knowledge of Flow control valve products in valve and actuation fields. FF2 sizing tool, Quote to order process flow.
