Job description

Job Objectives:

The candidate will function as a Product Design Engineer for Factory Automation global business unit locations projects to fulfill Product Design and engineering Documentation thru’ Creo, PLM as per DAUT Standard Practices & Procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Understand Project / Work Scope, plan and deliver quality output/deliverables to meet the expected schedule and timeline
• Work on Product Designs, concept generation, and support CAD Activities through’ respective support resources as needed
• Should be able to work in the Engineering Laboratory for Product & system-level testing following Safety Practices and guidelines
• Create Design package and Drawings with GD&T, as per the analysis of fits and tolerances. Hands-on experience in 3D CAD modeling in Creo is Preferred
• Periodic Interaction with the Engineering Manager through’ Verbal and written Communication
• Prepare engineering documentation including the bill of material
• Interact with other team members to meet and optimize product design requirements.
• Assume additional roles and responsibilities as required.
• Adherence to quality process. On-time delivery and quality of the deliverables
• Communicate, Collaborate, and coordinate results with the team members.
• Generate Project Metrics as per EIC-Pune and/or Business Unit Guidelines

Skill Requirements:

• Minimum bachelor’s in mechanical engineering having relevant design exposure of @ 3-6 years in the Valve Domain preferably in Pneumatics / Air preparation products like Filter, regulators and accessories, and Valve Systems.
• Software skills: Creo (Awareness / Hands-on is preferred), AutoCAD, Microsoft Office
• Aware of PDMLink and Teamcenter Practices
• Good Knowledge of pneumatically operated Solenoid Valves, valve systems
• Keywords: Solenoid Valve, Pneumatics, Air Operated Valves, Valve Design, Pneumatic Flow Diagrams, Pneumatic ISO Symbol
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes like machining, casting, plastic molding
• Working knowledge of GD&T, Tolerance Study, and International Standards.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes like machining, casting, and plastic molding would be desirable
• Know materials – Metals, Rubbers, and plastics would be desirable
• Knows surface treatment processes like anodizing, Nickel plating, etc. would be desirable
• Strong interpersonal skills and team working player.
• Good Lateral Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills
• Respect the company’s values and ethics
• A willingness to learn is critical.
• Good Communication skills in Verbal English with a neutral accent is desirable.
• Prior Working Experience in a Global Engineering Environment is preferred.
