Job Description
We are looking for an Application Engineer, Chennai responsible to handle the administration of potential and existing customer requirements (quotes, technical support, contracts and all related issues) to improve the company’s bookings and Sales, while maintaining high level customer service as specified in the company’s objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with design expects to develop tailor-made concept in feeding technology.
- Analyze customer requirements and provide expert advice to customers.
- Development of technical solutions with specialists in the different departments and the responsible Sales managers
- Preparation of quotations with solution concept and follow up with customers.
- Supporting contract negotiations of Sales team
- Preparation of project planning to ensure project objectives result, time, cost.
- Project management and customer service
- Project controlling during the project phase.
- Supporting and coordination with after-sales technical support
- Responsible for execution of FAT and if needed SAT.
- Responsible for project documentation
Basic Qualifications and Additional Information
- Degree in engineering sciences, e.g. Mechanical engineering or comparable qualification
- 3-5 years Experience in project management and technical sales support role
- Familiar with popular computer applications like MS Office and ERP
- Basic knowledge of CAD (ideally solid works)
- Ability to work in a team
- Attention to detail.
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Competent in technical communication and with the European team
- Independent and solution-oriented working style
- High level of assertiveness
- Fluent in English and Mandarin
- Willingness to travel to Germany for training
- Working experience in machine automation is an advantage
Preferred Qualifications
Good communication skills with colleagues
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
- Knowledge of computer-based administrative systems (Outlook, Word Excel, Oracle)
- Knowledge of products within the pre-defined scope of the business unit
- Ability to adapt quickly to new situations and/or circumstances.
- Work well within a team.
- Ability to meet people with confidence and reservation.
