  • Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for Developing and improving manufacturing processes by studying product and its manufacturing methods,
    as well as supporting problem solving and process improvements which includes all existing products and process.
  • Accountable for Safety, Quality, Cost , Delivery and People ( SQCDP) and delivery of committed improvement in these areas. This will include Zero Defect, First Pass Yield, Right First Time, PPAP, Lean Improvements and People Development (Knowledge transfers) to achieve facility Targets.
  • Work to implement Process improvements to improve part quality , reduce cycle time and cost.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment as an individual contributor.
  • Address the MRB conditions and recommend and implement necessary corrective actions. (8D, RCCA, Etc.,)
  • Participation in Change Board and Configuration activities.
  • Create Part Manufacturing Data sheets, manufacturing Process Planning documentation .
  • Provide support to production floor with drawing and technical specifications interpretations to ensure business delivers its commitments.
  • Prevent Process bottlenecks and improve processes for manufacturing engineering activities using Lean Tools and participating in Process improvement initiatives. (RIE, VSM, CI, 6 Sigma etc.,)
  • Good Verbal and Written communication Skills. Shall present the numerical data effectively .
  • Expert in Manufacturing Process Planning, Creation of BOMs, Creation of Technical/Manufacturing instructions, PPAP tools such as PFMEA , MSA, Control plans, and SPC.
  • Demonstrated experience using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies for Process Improvements.
  • Demonstrated experience on Process equipment set up, installation, commissioning , tooling design and manufacturing aspects .
  • Basic Knowledge of Industry 4.0 is preferable.

Qualifications

Requirement:

  • Education level required – B.E ( Mechanical, Aerospace).
  • Experience Required – Min. 2-4 Years.
  • Technical Knowledge – Aerospace Assembly, Six sigma, As 9100, NPD, Special Processes, Tooling and Fixturing.
  • Soft Skills – MS office, Project, Catia, Pro e, Sap.
  • Legal Requirements – Should be Indian by Nationality.

  • Responsible for managing the Engineering departmental activities by fulfilling the customer requirements regarding New Product Development, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control plans on a timely basis and on time installation of machines and prove the process capability of new machines.
  • Record any measurable statistics which your position impacts such as production expenses, maintenance expenses, sales volumes, payroll costs, capital expenditures, research budgets, cost of purchases, value of inventories controlled, employees supervised (direct and indirect).
  • New product development, leading/participating as a core team member in new programs/launches
  • Lead/Participate in productivity improvement and cost out.
  • New machine installation and prove the process capability. Take complete ownership till the machine is handed over to production in a phased transition.
  • Study the customer drawings for feasibility i.e. manufacturing feasibility review.
  • Work on Product costing in co-ordination with finance.
  • Prepare process flow diagrams in Co-Ordination with CFT.
  • Prepare and review PFMEAs in Co-Ordination with CFT.
  • Prepare and review control plans in Co-Ordination with CFT.
  • Check valve drawings (Product drawings, 10 X profiles, 20 X profiles, tooling drawings).
  • Participate in problem solving activities as needed.
  • Implementation and adherence to the Eaton Business System.
  • Drive compliance to the Eaton Code of Ethics and hold others accountable for ethical conduct.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and governance. Ensure compliance to Eaton policies such as Equal Employment Opportunity, Harassment, Safety, and Substance Abuse. Support and strengthen key communities.
  • Develop and maintain a high performance culture focused on continuous improvement and change.

Qualifications

Requirement:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience 4 – 6 years in Engineering department in valve manufacturing.
  • Software Skills- CATIA V5, PRO E wildfire, Autocad
  • Conversant with NPD tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA,SPC
  • Should be conversant with lean tools.
