This exciting role offers opportunity to:
- The primary responsibility of this role is to design and detail Aerospace Fuel System Products to meet design, manufacturability & assembly requirements in alignment with Aerospace & Industry standards
- Perform detailed design engineering using CAD platforms such as CATIA, PRO/E, Creo, AutoCAD etc.
- Perform drawing quality check for the drawings prepared by local as well as global teams
- Perform Design for Manufacturability & Assembly assessment
- Provide manufacturability perspective for early concepts and help validate through building appropriate designs. Assist with building prototypes that help in proof of concepts
- Leads sustaining engineering and runner projects independently
- Interact with global cross functional teams.
- Position’s main focus will be to prepare technical design details & drawings in compliance to drawing standards as per industry standards and prevailing engineering practices for Aerospace.
- Creation of 3D models and drawings of the new product designs and modification of existing product drawings and models.
- Person in this position must be very proficient in CAD tools such as Pro/E, Solid works, Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, CATIA assembly, detailing to prepare CAD models and complete detailed design/drawings.
- Person should be expert in drawings, dimensioning standards, tolerance standards & tolerance stack-up and engineering calculations as required to support design integrity.
- Should have good understanding of DFM & A (Design for Manufacturability & Assembly). Shall leverage DFMA principles while working on engineering designs and drawings
- Utilize the PLM (Enovia) system for documentation control and workflow.
- Creates and sustains processes for design standards and procedures governing product design methods, documents and data controls
- Should have experience of working with Aerospace Fuel Products & Standards
- Should be able to analyze the work package and prepare a schedule for delivery.
- Ensure first time right quality and on time delivery of drawings & engineering documents.
- Drive Process Innovations leveraging Lean & DMAIC principles to continuously improve processes. Look for opportunities to improve productivity, learn and collaborate with other teams to adapt best practices.
- Maintain current knowledge/expertise of product engineering technologies.
- Work with global teams. Good communication skills in English (verbal and written) to communicate information effectively to customers, and technical staff. Should be able to communicate technical information to customers and manufacturing
Qualifications
Requirement –
- Masters’s Degree in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering with 0-2 years experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3-5.
- Proficiency in CAD tools; Preferably ProE / CATIA and experience with PLM tool ENOVIA
- Aware of Engineering Designs, Drawings, Tolerance Stack up analysis, application engineering domain
- Design for Manufacturing & Assembly knowhow.
- Awareness of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), DMAIC methodology and tools necessary for product engineering
- Hard working ability and desire for excellence in sustaining engineering excellence
- Strong and effective communication skills
