Job Overview

As an Associate Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to the design and modification of systems and subsystems to meet product requirements for Industrial UPS racks and accessories. Your role will involve resolving field issues, supporting cost-out initiatives, and driving continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Product Design: Work on system/sub-system design modifications to meet form, fit, and function requirements using tools like SolidWorks, Creo, and AutoCAD.
  • Field Issue Resolution: Investigate reported concerns, propose solutions, and execute CAD-based design changes.
  • Change Management: Use Enovia PLM for releasing changes through ECR-ECO processes while ensuring quality deliverables.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and execute cost-out and product/process improvement opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Actively communicate with cross-functional teams to incorporate best practices and improve product performance.
  • Innovation: Generate and present ideas and innovative solutions to stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Plan and manage deliverables to achieve on-time delivery and high first-pass yield while mitigating risks.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 0–2 years of experience in product design.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo, and AutoCAD.
  • Understanding of Sheet Metal Design and drafting.
  • Experience with Enovia PLM, particularly ECR-ECO processes.
  • Knowledge of Product & Process Improvement Methodologies.
  • Familiarity with VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering).
