Job description

Mechanical Engineer to work on the system and / sub-system design and modification to meet product form, fit & function requirements, identifies opportunities for performance and capability enhancement of Eaton’s Industrial UPS racks u& accessories, drive sustaining engineering, Industrial UPS mechanical field issue resolution, support product cost out and CI initiatives.
Strong skills in Product design, effective modeling skills in Solidworks, Creo & AutoCAD drawings, PLM Enovia, who will also support efforts in developing product solutions.

Problem solvers who are excited about learning new technologies, Understand and develop actions to increase maturity, work with team members for concept generation, detailed design and industrialization activities.”

• Industrial UPS racks & accessories mechanical field issue resolution with the approach of the product cost out.
• Contribute for detailed Investigation of the reported concern, communicate & discuss with stakeholders, propose solutions to meet product form, fit & function requirements, plan CAD execution activities, and ability to work in ambiguity to drive changes.
• Work on Enovia PLM & ensure proposed changes are released through Change Order activities while ensuring the Quality of deliverables.
• Identify opportunities and drive Continuous Improvement actions
• Plan and manage work to achieve on-time delivery & First pass yield for deliverables.
• Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks as they arise during resolving concerns, and requests.
• Generate ideas and innovative solutions that will provide a competitive edge to business products.
• Think creatively come out with new proposals and present them to stakeholders.
• Active communication with the cross-functional team to leverage best practices & drive product & process improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Mechanical
• 0-2 years of experience in product design

• Hands-on experience in the Enovia PLM ECR-ECO process.
• Experience with product design, VAVE.

Skills:

• Proficient in Creo, Solidworks & AutoCAD softwares.
• Knowledge in Product & Process improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge in sheet metal design & drafting.
• Understanding of Enovia processes.
