Job description
Role Overview:
Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) is seeking an Associate Engineer responsible for analyzing Eaton’s Mobility products in static and vibration FEA domains, including stress, deformation, fatigue, and modal/harmonic vibration. The role involves collaborating with global and local teams to develop and validate FEA models, ensuring robust engineering designs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with technology and product teams to define problem statements.
- Evaluate product requirements and collaborate with internal and external customers.
- Deploy digital prototype methodologies for static and vibration structural FEA analysis.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to develop FEA analysis requirements for mobility products.
- Interpret, summarize, and communicate FEA results, providing technical and design recommendations.
- Support validation efforts to enhance FEA analysis capabilities.
- Develop test plans to verify simulation models and validate analysis approaches with test outcomes.
- Understand product function and architecture, collaborating closely with product and test teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Production Engineering.
- Less than 2 years of relevant experience in a multinational engineering organization, or fresh graduates (BE/B.Tech) from reputed colleges can also apply.
Skills:
- Basic understanding of engineering fundamentals in Strength of Materials and Vibrations.
- Knowledge of automotive product lines and architecture.
- Fundamental understanding of Finite Element Methods (FEM) and tools like Ansys and Abaqus.
- Experience in projects involving FEA/CAE analysis.
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
- Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills, and a team player.
- High learning agility, drive, and energy to deliver beyond expected results.
- Strong communication and articulation skills, with the ability to collaborate with local and global stakeholders.
