- The primary responsibility of this role is to design and develop Aerospace MSD (Mission System Division) Products to meet product requirements including safety, reliability, and conformance to standards.
- Perform detailed design engineering using CAD platforms such as Creo 7.0, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, etc.
- Design new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures.
- Perform GD&T & Tolerance stake-up analysis for MSD product designs.
- Researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine the feasibility of the design or application.
- Provide manufacturability perspective for early concepts and help validate through building appropriate designs. Assist with building prototypes that help in proof of concept and work with external vendors/suppliers.
Qualifications:
Requirement:
- Bachelors degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or equivalent
- Bachelors degree – Min 0 – 2 years of total experience of product design, drawings and CAD modeling
- 3D modeling and drawings, GD&T, Tolerance stack-up, Engineering design calculations, Risk analysis & assessment (DFMEA)

- The position’s main focus will be to prepare technical design details & drawings in compliance with drawing standards as per industry standards and prevailing engineering practices for Aerospace.
- Creation of 3D models and drawings of the new product designs and modification of existing product drawings and models.
- The person in this position must have working knowledge of CAD tools such as Pro/E Creo, Solid Works, CATIA, and AutoCAD, assembly, and detailing to prepare CAD models and complete detailed designs/drawings.
- A person should have a good understanding of design guidelines standards such as ASME Y14/ANSI Y14.
- A person should be good at drawings, dimensioning standards, tolerance standards & tolerance stack-up, and engineering calculations as required to support design integrity.
- Utilize DFSS concepts/tools such as PDSC, P-Diagram, DFMEA, Risk Management & DVPR for new product development &/or existing product improvements
Skills:
- Creation of 3D models and drawings of the new product designs and modification of existing drawings and models
- Sustains process for design standards and procedures governing product design methods, documents and data control for the associated business group
- Utilizes understanding of manufacturing processes to improve new and existing designs & acts as a technical resource for internal/external customers and resolves technical challenges
- Maintain credible communication practice with stakeholders on technical clarifications, testing & resolving of field failures
- Maintain effective communications both verbal & written with customer, team members and cross functional departments
- Be an active professional in continuous learning resulting enhancement in organizational objectives
- Performs quality checks to ensure design meets Eaton and customer standards/requirements
- A person must be proficient with ProE-Creo 7.0, CATIA V5, and Bluebeam, and should be able to perform GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and engineering calculations as required supporting design integrity.
- Should have a good understanding of DFMA (Design for manufacturability & assembly). Shall leverage DFMA principals while working on engineering designs and drawings
- Utilize the PLM (Enovia / Windchill) system for documentation control and workflow.
- Should have experience of working with Aerospace Products & Standards
- Ensure the right quality and on-time delivery of drawings & engineering documents.
