This exciting role offers the opportunity to:
- In this position, the incumbent is responsible for the successful execution of Aerospace Ducting projects, the design and develop Ducting Products to meet customer-specific technical, cost, and market-related technology requirements including safety, reliability, and conformance to standards.
- This position would involve executing & collaborating with experienced engineers, providing follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems. Assists in preparing reports, graphs, planning layouts, and summaries designed to communicate project progress or results. Participates as a team member, helps define/refine methods and actively contributes towards team goals. Follows technical documentation requirements and engineering processes, risk management, detail design & analysis.
- The candidate in this position is responsible to –
- Execute and support New Product Design and Development through Eaton PROLaunch / PreLaunch/ACES Engineering processes, B&Ps.
- Creation of 3D models (solid modeling, sheet metal, tubing/ piping etc.), drawings, reports, ECRs/ECOs and BOMs, Tooling designs, Test fixture designs, Test plans, and Test reports for new product designs and modification of existing drawings and models. Coordinate design reviews through the release process.
- Creation of Aerospace Product Testing/Qualification documentation as per Aerospace Industry standards DO-160 such as QP, QTP, QSR, QTR, and ATP.
- Applies basic knowledge of engineering principles, failure theories, mechanical design standards, and practices to assigned tasks.
Qualifications:
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- Bachelor’s degree – 0 to 2 years experience in design, development, and validation of mechanical couplings & joints, mechanical components, Tubing or Ducting Products
Skills:
- Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, 3D modeling tools, DFSS, Analytical Thinking,
- Has basic knowledge of GD&T, fits, tolerance, materials, and manufacturing process to achieve intended product form and functions.
- The foundational level of Problem Solving, Dfx, Process Management (LEAN, PLM, DMAIC), and Innovation skills. Know how of Digital tools/languages.
- Drive for Results, Analysis-First and Digital Mindset, Organizational Savvy, Strong Communications and Influencing skills, Process Management
- Communication & manage internal customer expectations and contractual commitments internal to the business, communicate effectively globally and at all organizational levels.
- Sustains process for design standards and procedures governing product design methods, documents, and data control for the associated business group.
- Learning agility to understand & assimilate varied technologies & product knowledge.
