Job description

Role Summary:

This role focuses on the design and detailing of Aerospace Fuel System Products to meet design, manufacturability, and assembly requirements, adhering to industry standards. The engineer will lead sustaining engineering, VA/VE, and runner projects independently, while performing detailed engineering design using CAD tools like CATIA, PRO/E, and AutoCAD.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design & Detailing:
  • Design and detail Aerospace Fuel System Products aligned with Aerospace and Industry standards.
  • Create 3D models and drawings of new products and modify existing designs.
  • Ensure compliance with design, manufacturability, and assembly standards.
• Project Leadership:
  • Lead sustaining engineering and cost-out (VAVE) projects independently.
  • Prepare schedules for the work package and ensure on-time delivery.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Perform drawing quality checks for both self-created and peer designs.
  • Leverage DFMA (Design for Manufacturability & Assembly) principles in design processes.
  • Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis and ensure first-time right quality in documentation and drawings.
• Collaboration:
  • Interact with global cross-functional teams and provide a manufacturability perspective for early concepts.
  • Work with PLM systems (e.g., Enovia) for documentation control and workflow.
• Process Improvement:
  • Drive process innovations using Lean & DMAIC principles to improve efficiency.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve productivity and apply best practices in collaboration with other teams.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in engineering or product design, preferably in Aerospace Fuel System Products.

Skills & Competencies:

• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in CAD tools such as CATIA, Pro/E, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with PLM tools like Enovia.
  • Strong knowledge of DFMA, tolerance standards, and engineering calculations.
  • Familiarity with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), DMAIC methodology, and VAVE frameworks.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in English.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and keen attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with global teams and stakeholders.
