Position – Associate Engineer

Job description

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide design support for New Product Development and current product engineering-related projects for ECJV Transmissions. Applicant needs to closely work with sub-system leads to provide timely support and ensure deliverables in line with the project schedule. The role is to support design activities from concept to launch of the product in coordination with various internal stakeholders like project lead, test lab, manufacturing, and project management. The applicant should be proficient with 3D drafting tools like Creo and tolerance stack-ups for product design. The applicant must be self-motivated and possess good communication skills with cross-functional team.

• Prepare component & system layouts, and design concepts in 3D drafting tools Creo for current product engineering and NPI projects.
• Apply knowledge of GD&T and work on the Enovia environment to release the design and models.
• Demonstrate and leverage knowledge of engineering drawing design fundamentals and analytical skills to leverage the first approach.
• Perform assembly stack-up & tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Release drawings through CO / CR in the ENOVIA PLM system following the standard process routes
• Prepare design review documents and assist engineering leads & program managers for NPI execution.
• Apply DFSS principles & tools (ex: B&P diagrams, Scorecard, DFMEA) to deliver a robust engineering design
• Applicant shall have good communication skills to lead projects effectively
• Applicant shall have knowledge on manufacturing processes, materials, design of various components, and engineering standards.
• Good understanding of design for assembly

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Mechanical / Automotive
• 1-2 Years

Skills:

• Good to have entry level experience on automotive powertrains. Good analytical skills in the mechanical domain.
• Knowledge of enclosures, shift system, gear, bearing & spline, casting, forgings, stamping etc.
• Good interpersonal skills, and ability to clearly communicate to stakeholders.
