Job description
- Communicates with the Supply Chain teams globally regarding opportunities that will satisfy Eaton requirements and Commodity Strategies. Develop an in-depth understanding of Eaton requirements to constantly identify and recommend appropriate suppliers for LCC sourcing projects.
- Identify suppliers to meet the commodity requirements in terms of quality, cost, delivery and inventory control (including VMI, consignment inventory programs)..
- RFI / RFQ Management – Create RFX package, request RFXs from suppliers, and in-depth analysis of RFX’s, preparation of Sourcing Workbooks
- Reviews, screens and scrutinizes supplier responses and communicates questions to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Conduct Zero based / should-be costing and help Eaton’s operational business units to negotiate competitive rates and other commercial terms with suppliers.
6, Perform basic supplier audits and assessments in order to assess capability and fit to Eaton Corporations’ specific needs and requirements. - Spend Analysis – Understand Part-Level Commercial Data (Where Used, EAU, Forecasted Usage / Product Life Cycle). Analyze spend on assigned commodities and identify cost-out opportunities.
- Work with internal teams including but not limited to ESSP Should Cost, One part, ARIBA, ENOVIA, Qlickview, Project Management, TCO, Risk, and Compliance team to achieve enterprise SCM goal.
9 Negotiations with Suppliers & handling SPIRs –Leverage should cost, benchmarking, TCO - Evaluate and proceed with supplier contract and price change request as appropriate, MPA, LTA, and Surcharge Agreements. On an ongoing basis, Perform Contract Management with Suppliers.
- Cost out database creation and update in the tool and generate reports/ Access GPS (Global procurement SharePoint) & upkeep data & information on Non Ferous category projects. Support and track CODB registration
- Monitor supplier capacity planning and deploy demand requirements on new programs
- Know how to utilize and apply project management tools and techniques for procurement
- Strong Data Management & Analytical Skills required
- Hands-on Experience on Supplier Relationship Management.
- Monitor and track the commodity & currency trends. Should have sound knowledge of Imports & Exports.
- Responsible for onsite assessment of suppliers, support strategic suppliers to improve their scorecards, supplier evaluation, capability assessment & risk management.
- Initiate, and lead cost reduction projects to drive cost outs as per profit plan.
- Drive VA/VE with the support of engineering/design for material cost reductions.
- Co-Own the Project Monitoring with the SDE till the time of stabilization of the new part and complete handover to Materials.
- Execute and build a continuous pipeline of Cost projects.
- Manage tactical requirements in alignment with Category Strategy, Support to Material Planners, Invoicing and Payment issues, Supplier documentation
- DPO improvement implementation with Suppliers.
- Implementation and adherence to the Eaton Business System related to SCM Function.
- Demonstrate a very high level of Integrity Drive compliance with the Eaton Code of Ethics and hold suppliers accountable for ethical conduct in all transactions.
- Adherence to regulatory requirements and governance.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferably Mechanical/Metallurgy
4-7 years of experience in sourcing, supplier development & procurement in engineering(Automotive & Electrical industry) companies preferably in Aluminum/ Copper castings/ Forgings products
Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal & written communication & presentation skills to work with Global, regional & local management teams across the globe, Quick response time.
- Strong Knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Need to have working Knowledge of any Data Mining tools
- Proficient in the development and tracking of internal metrics
- Strong project and time management, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Quick response to deadlines
- Relationship with suppliers as well as customers – Internal and External
- Cross Functions Team Working Skills due to Matrix Organization reporting
- Certification in Supply chain management will be added advantage
- Experience in Global sourcing will be added advantage
