Position – Senior Engineer (Refrigeration /NPD/Thermal Simulation)

Job description

• Lead product development activities to develop and industrialize Condensing Units & Refrigeration systems from concept to production launch.
• Lead and execute Thermodynamic simulations & Mechanical FEA utilizing simulation tools such as Ansys, Coil designer, VAPCYC, etc.,
• Conduct and Execute Functional analysis, Project requirement specifications, DFMEA, Design Qualification plan, and present design reviews to multiple stake holders according to Danfoss product development plan.
• Lead and support for the component selection (Refrigeration/Electronics)/finalization within Danfoss and outside Danfoss along with procurement department.
• Co-ordinate with contract manufacturing team for Design freeze, Product data management, prototype builds, Reliability tests in accordance with Danfoss internal standards globally.
• Lead and support product certification activities according to relevant international standards such as ARI,ASERCOM, BIS etc.,
• Support legacy products for Change control management through ERP system (SAP) with Change control committee.
• Coordinate & support Performance/Application development tests according to EN/IS/customer specifications within Danfoss lab & Third party lab.
• Responsible for Field failure events (QRQC) through RCA, 8D, time to time responsible for engineering deliverables.
• Lead and management of projects in matrix organization with cross functional teams & Contract manufacturing environment (development, purchasing, quality, manufacturing, Product management)
• Basic experience on Electronics controllers, Variable speed drives & Electrical schematic diagrams.
• Well Organized, open-minded and proactive leader/team player with good communication skills.
• Customer and business oriented.

Requirements

• Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role/field with a product development focus and technical management background. (Refrigeration/HVAC)
• Design software/modeling (Creo & Windchill preferred)
• ERP Management (SAP Preferred)
• Experience with Thermodynamic/Mechanical simulation tools
• Ability to work independently and make logical decisions
• Be able to deal with a challenging environment with Matrix organization
