Job description
- Responsible for growth and expansion of direct sales and profit margins within assigned accounts and/or territory/region on products or services. Establishes professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts. Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars.
- OTT Hydromet manufactures and distributes Hydrological & Meteorological instruments used to monitor water level, water flow & weather parameters. We are looking for a techno-commercial person with a minimum of 10 years of work experience in similar fields to grab the growth opportunities in this growing segment.
- Drive sales growth and increase market share in Southern states, in India
- Deal with key customers in premier govt research institutes from IMD/ ESSO/ICAR/CSIR etc and Universities besides various state water resources department, irrigation departments, renewable energy departments, etc.
- Drive value selling and value communication actions at key customers
- Lead specification setting for our Hydro & Met products at key customers
- Strategize and drive marketing and service offerings to key customers
- Has an understanding of B2B market Development, dealing with direct Project Orders
- Develops, implements & sustains comprehensive sales plans/strategies to achieve annual booking and sales numbers
- Understand DBS and ensure compliance – SFDC, Target customer visits, Visual management
- Ensure timely submission of technical and commercial offers and tenders
- Coordination/Teamwork with supply chain & Service teams to ensure fulfillment of the order to customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and analyze competition activities in the sales territory
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 to 12 years of sales & business development experience (preferably with EPC contractors)
- Required – BE/ B Tech in Mechanical/ instrumentation/ electronics or similar
- Prior experience of working with customers from research institutes.
- Experience with major MNCs will be an advantage
- Industrial B2B selling to system integrators
- Excellent presentation skills and competence in MS office
