Responsibilities
- Mechanical design and Design changes of Module/subsystem / system
- Plastic (Injection molding & Thermoforming) and sheet metal components / sub assemblies design and development
- Conduct DFM and DFA reviews with suppliers for plastic and sheet metal components
- Creating 3D models, assemblies and detailing includes drawing conversions
- Identifying suitable materials, creating & releasing BOMs
- Performing hand calculations to check design feasibility
- Apply GD&T and perform tolerance stack up for the components/sub assemblies
- DFM/DFA activities and optimize the design for cost reduction
- Conduct DFMEA and identify the product risks
- Shall have hands-on experience in the Engineering Change management
- Work with supplier, and procurement engineer and build the prototypes
- Working closely with all other team members like the R&D team (systems, verification, norm compliance etc) and other cross-functional stakeholders like (service, quality, marketing, regulatory, Clinical, procurement, etc) for the projects
- Support localization activities
- Knowledge of IEC 60601 is preferred
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engg with 3 to 6 years of experience or Masters in Mechanical Engg with 2 to 4 yrs of experience.
