Join our BIM – Tunnels and Underground Structures team in Gurgaon
We are part of the Tunnels and Underground Structures department, consisting of more than 600 enthusiastic colleagues working from India, Denmark, the UK, and North America. We have a proven history of making underground tunnels, metros, immersed tunnels, shafts, and pumping stations. We are part of COWI’s International business line, we embrace cultural diversity and highly value our social and friendly environment.
COWI’s Underground structures team is rapidly growing and that is why we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer – MEP.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Develop the conceptual design and produce engineering designs and details in accordance with project requirements within your field.
• Developing and implementing design best practices in the areas of expertise, in addition to ensuring conformance with all applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
• Preparing/checking calculations, drawings, and writing reports
• Assisting with tenders and bids
• Managing projects with multi-disciplinary teams
• Inspecting and documenting mechanical systems
• Independently delivering work and integrating with larger project teams building relationships with clients and other stakeholders

Moreover, you will have :

• A Bachelor/Master’s in mechanical engineering and 2-5 years of relevant experience preferably in underground structures, metros, and tunnels
• In-depth knowledge of appropriate mechanical systems particularly HVAC systems. Experience in Drainage & firefighting would be an added advantage
• Experience working on international projects including the heating systems
• Hands-on experience with software to carry out energy modeling and HVAC calculations. Experience in BIM and Navisworks would be an added advantage, particularly in placing the major equipment and main route for the ducts/pipes to carry out the spatial planning
• Experience with computer-based design tools for HVAC designs such as Hevacomp, HAP, IES, Duct sizer Pipe sizer, etc.
• Good interpersonal skills
