Position: Associate Engineer – Technical Publications

Overview

The Tech Pubs Engineer will be responsible for creating and revising Technical Publications such as Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM), Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), and Aircraft Illustrated Parts Catalog (AIPC). The role requires strong technical writing skills, knowledge of ATA and S1000D standards, and proficiency in publishing tools like Adobe Framemaker and Arbortext Epic Editor.

Primary Responsibilities

✅ Technical Documentation:

• Create/revise CMM, CMP, AMM, AIPC for aircraft components & systems.
• Write assembly, disassembly & repair procedures based on engineering changes.

✅ Tools & Software Proficiency:

• Adobe Framemaker, Arbortext Epic Editor, CSDB (Common Source Database).
• Working knowledge of PLM tools (Teamcenter, Ennovia).
• Familiarity with XML, SGML, and resolving XML parsing errors.
• Knowledge of illustration tools (Isodraw 7.3, 3DVIA, Catia) is an advantage.

✅ Technical Standards & Compliance:

• Strong understanding of Aerospace Standards (ATA100, iSpec 2200, S1000D).
• Working knowledge of Simplified Technical English (ASD-STE).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, Service Bulletins, and ECNs.

✅ Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with Authors, Illustrators, and Engineers.
• Ensure high-quality documentation within tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

🎓 Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering.

💼 Experience:

• 1-3 years in Technical Publications (CMM, AMM, Data Modules).

🔹 Must-Have Skills:
✔ Strong knowledge of aerospace documentation standards (ATA100, iSpec, S1000D).
✔ Experience in Adobe Framemaker, Arbortext Epic Editor & CSDB.
✔ Basic understanding of XML, SGML, and technical illustrations.
✔ Ability to interpret engineering drawings and implement changes.

🔹 Nice-to-Have:
➕ Experience with Isodraw 7.3, 3DVIA, Catia.
➕ Prior work in PLM tools like Teamcenter & Ennovia.
➕ Knowledge of Simplified English (ASD-STE).
