Job description – Associate Engineer

Position: Associate Engineer (P1)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing structural analysis of aircraft components and assemblies while working as a part of an integrated team.
  • Structural Analysis includes the calculation of loads, static analysis, and fatigue analysis.
  • Evaluate the structural integrity of aircraft components using Classical Analysis and Finite Element Analysis.
  • Generate documentation to report the analysis results to support certification.
  • Able to take ownership and handle the project with minimum dependency.
  • Be a team player with an ability to communicate with cross-functional teams, SBU and exhibit the go-getter type of attitude.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in structural analysis of Metallic aircraft components and assemblies.
  • Experience with the calculation of Loads, Static & Fatigue analysis.
  • Experience in Finite Elements Analysis Tools (Abaqus preferred).
  • Hands-on experience in design software (CATIA V5 will be an added advantage).
  • Robust understanding of engineering fundamentals such as Material properties, Free Body Diagrams, Loads & Analysis methods.
  • Strong Academic background with knowledge of the Aerospace Domain.
  • Good understanding of the Strength of Material, Engineering Drawing and Manufacturing Processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A candidate with Landing Gear Structures experience is preferred.
  • Beam model experience using NASTRAN will be an added advantage.
