Position – Repair Center Engineer

Location – Gurgaon, Haryana

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Complete repair Centre based activities to support Cepheid product portfolio and increase productivity. Ensure customer satisfaction through effective troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of GeneXpert products. High productivity and initiative to assist with the rapid growth of India install base in a highly professional manner. Maintains production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory; delivering production materials and supplies; staging finished product. Keep track of spare parts inventory.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Repair Modules as per the SOPs
  • Establish high quality and efficiency within the India Repair Center
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams within India and on WW basis
  • Use of Inbuilt software,tools and processes to ensure compliance and adherence to Cepheid SOP’s
  • Ensure that we meet KPIs and participate / lead Continuous Improvement programs
  • Provide spare inventory statements on a monthly basis
  • Smooth function & calibration of repair Centre tools
  • Regular communication with Supervisor and Coordinators for service order scheduling
  • Update record of module failure cases
  • Work within EHS guidelines
  • Work on Point of Care Instruments along with packaging and dispatch
  • Ensure receipt of parts to the repair center. This includes the carrier’s physical receipt, decontamination and administrative receipt in the ERP.
  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory. (regular inventory, replenishment, threshold and order quantity).
  • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
  • Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
  • Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
  • Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
  • Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
  • Perform Decontamination of Received Modules (Manual/Automatic) and maintains SOPs
  • Assure the verification, calibration and repair of GeneXpert to ensure the reliability of the diagnostics performed with cepheid systems.

TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience (in years):

  • Diploma/Degree (B. Tech) in electronics or engineering (electrical or mechanical) desirable
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a technical services role
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and working within research / clinical environments

Knowledge and skills:

  • Excellent communication skills and technical presentation skills for group and one-on-one presentations
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Organization, Scheduling, Analyzing Information, Dealing with Complexity, Deadline-Oriented, Time Management, Process Improvement, Safety Management, Inventory Control, Lifting, Data Entry Skills
  • Proficiency in SAP, Salesforce and MS-Office

Physical requirements/abilities:

  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Must be able to stand for several hours. Work may involve repetitive arm/wrist motions.

Other:

  • Travel: Only in case of urgencies
  • Exposure of working environment in Repair Centre electronic equipment’s
  • Flexible to work in shifts as and when required
