ROLE TITLE: Assistant Manager- Product Development – PCUV – International Business
REPORTS TO:
Manager – PD – PCR International Markets
LOCATION: Halol R&D

JOB PURPOSE:
To facilitate new product development and existing product improvement
- To continuously capture customer requirements both from the export market and International OEMs, translate into value-added products through new product development or improvement of existing products
- Monitor the life-cycle maintenance process of all products.
- Execute Quality Function deployment through extensive market assessment and product benchmarking to enable in new product development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL MARKETS – REPLACEMENT:
- Identify and do benchmark tire analysis for New product development and improvement of existing products.
- Analysis of claims, generate monthly claim analysis reports, and do fail tire analysis to identify improvement opportunities for existing products.
- Initiate development projects for new products based on market gaps or improvement projects for existing products.
- Tech review meeting with Marketing and QA and sign off specification
- Organize and coordinate with the testing team for indoor and outdoor test requirements of OEM
- Coordinate with various internal agencies for the homologation of tires. Initiate and organize homologation and certifications for new products
- Develop the test procedures and performance requirements as per OE requirements
- Evaluate products on the field through ‘Product evaluation centers’, through the testing team, and collect feedback.
