Job description
As a Technical Writer & Support Engineer you will write, manage and illustrate technical documents in English for Longwall Applications and also supporting dealers regarding technical questions and / or problems with products supplied by Longwall.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- The independent preparation of technical documents;
- Determines independently the work order taking into account the weekly schedule, all within the prescribed procedures, and (machine) guidelines.
- Ability to author technical information regarding “Parts Catalog/ Service Manual/ Operating & Maintenance Manual”.
- Strong knowledge on gathering, analyzing and understanding the technical subject matters like engineering BOM, ECM, ECN, and Product Models.
- Expertise to create and prepare content & graphics for Repair/Service procedures, Operating and Maintenance manuals which may include photographs, drawings, etc., as per the set standard.
- Ability to understand and adhere with the style guidelines and standards set by the documentation team.
- Strong experience in working with engineering teams with proven experience in technical documentations.
- Experience with hands-on product familiarity which will help in writing correct sequence and maintain high level of quality.
- Good knowledge on working principals of mechanical and electrical systems of the mining products & related modules and should be able to describe their function and operating procedures.
- Knowledge of Mechanical, Hydraulics and Electrical systems of machines & related products for mining.
- Knowledge of drawing and schematic interpretation, orientation, sequencing, orderly dimensioning.
- Good and clear training materials.
- Proper and timely answers to questions;
- Monitoring of smart goals (personal goals).
- Dealers on solving technical issues and progress projects (English)
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automobile with maximum up to 5 years of experience.
- Experience with tools like LinkOne, Schema, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and model handling tools like Creo, TeamCenter, Vismockup.
- Strong experience in working with engineering teams with proven experience in technical documentations.
