About the Role:

To support the NPD’s schB, sustenance projects for Commercial BU- Charlotte.

Role Responsibilities:

• Work on new product development tasks, cost reduction projects, and sustaining projects in a supportive team environment.
• Proven experience in working with cross-functional teams, i.e. Design, Engineering, prototype labs, Manufacturing, marketing, etc, for the development of new products, cost reduction, and sustaining engineering activities.
• Prepare the necessary component and assembly drawings by following design/standard work guidelines to support in releasing the same in the PLM system like Windchill.
• Hands-on experience in understanding the design & assembly, and carefully generating Engineering Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Performs prototype testing and evaluations, root cause analysis on products and design/production processes. Participates in engineering tasks and projects with significant scope and complexity
• Performs drawing reviews through the ECO process. Ensures timely and accurate execution of engineering change orders.
• Should be accountable for the project activities assigned.
• Ability to lead his/her assigned project activities independently without much supervision towards project milestones.
• Having an innovative mindset is important to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Good knowledge and application of GD&T and Tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Strong hands-on experience in Engineering Change management processes (ECR/ECN/ECO) and PLM tools like Windchill.
• Work with the CAE team and support in geometry cleanup to prep models for CFD and FEA.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 4-5 years of experience in product design and development.
• Hands-on experience in CAD tools such as Creo (Pro-E) / Solidworks.
• Hands-on experience on PLM tools like Windchill
