Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in mechanical design, prototyping, testing, verification, tolerance stack-up, and drawing creation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in designing and developing consumer appliances.
Key Responsibilities
- Electro-Mechanical System Design: Demonstrated experience in system-level electro-mechanical design, particularly within the consumer appliances domain.
- Product Design & Development: Design and develop mechanical structures and components for consumer appliances. Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and DFX principles.
- Material & Process Expertise: Proficient in designing parts for machining, sheet metal, die-casting, and injection molding processes.
- Prototyping & Testing: Execute prototype development and conduct mechanical performance tests to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with electrical, software, and systems engineering teams for seamless integration of mechanical systems.
- Sustainability & Efficiency: Incorporate environmental and sustainability considerations into designs while optimizing system efficiency.
- Manufacturing Support: Facilitate the transition from concept to production and uphold quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Problem-Solving: Apply strong analytical skills to resolve design challenges and enhance product performance.
- Compliance: Basic understanding of product qualification standards.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD tools, with mandatory experience in UGNX (OR) Creo 8. Exposure to the CATIA tool is desirable.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
