Role Overview

This position is in the Global Facilities (GFS) business unit, focusing on piping systems design for Food & Beverage and Consumer Products facilities in North America. Reporting to the Mechanical Section Manager, the role involves contributing to the detailed design of piping systems and layouts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and design plant layouts, piping systems, and detailed facility designs using Plant 3D and AutoCAD.
• Create and update project documents such as P&IDs, piping plans, isometrics, and pipe support layouts.
• Prepare and review piping material specifications, valve specifications, and insulation specifications.
• Manage and analyze technical documents, including specifications, calculations, and drawings.
• Collaborate in 3D modeling environments using tools like Navisworks for design integrity and clash coordination.
• Maintain a strong understanding of piping material specifications and international standards (IS, ASME, API, BS, EN).
• Participate in 3D model reviews and as-built documentation using laser scan modeling.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, clients, and vendors to ensure project success.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Plant 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and tools like AutoPipe or Caesar II.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote).
• Knowledge Areas:
  • National and international piping codes and standards (IS, ASME, API, BS, EN).
  • Strong analytical abilities for technical document review.
  • Familiarity with laser scan modeling and preparation of as-built documents.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
