Description of position: Project Leader – Design

Global Grade : 08

Supervisor: Team Leader for new machines ND et, css, obc

Main task of position:

• Taking part in Transfermeeting for the requirements that are in his area of responsibility
• Prepare checklist based on the sales documents and the guidelines of the project leader from the contracting
• Prepare drafts (designing) and drawings with the 3D-CAD (NX)
• Prepare fabrication-drawings and ensure that the material master is correct. To prepare detail drawing, the project leader also has design engineer team to his support
• Responsible for the preparation of partslist and to ensure drawings dead-line will be held in the right manner of time
• Calculate and interpret the machine parts according to Norm- calculation guidelines (AD-leaflet, PED calculations) and internal calculation pattern
• Interaction with the sizing, the partslist group, the planning and the production logistics during execution of the project
• Interaction with contact person of the manufacturing and the production logistics while the order transaction and the manufacturing and assemble process of the machine
• Establish material specification from documentation and define fabrication instructions in accordance with relevant specifications
• Handle deviations and comment/suggest on technical aspects
• Interact with contact person in areas of problems during the execution
• Participation in small teams to reduce cost/ constructions optimization and new development. There is also possibility to work in power user team for the NX programm
• Support the team leader to evaluate the offers of the sales
• Optimise and standardize the checklist of BOM
• Propose suggestions for cost reduction of cost of single parts, modules or even assembly units
• Ensure that the design engineers construct the design as per guidelines from CAD handbooks
• Provide suggestions to optimise the lead time and the efforts for the preparation of partslist
• Personal contribution for continuous improvements
• Personal assigned projects in the limits of the required tasks
• Can help as a support for a case of emergency, special projects assigned until the regular arrangement is in place

Education / Experience:

• Graduate of mechanical engineering / higher education
• Experience in project handling
• SAP experience
• UGNX experience
• 2D Medusa experience
• Office Package appliance
• Sensible and continuous further educations prospects have to be offered to the supervisor

Language skills:

• English
• Language skill in German would be added advantage

• Can speak clearly and fluently in the english language and can present a presentation
• To propose suggestions for cost reduction
• Flexibility to work in different teams
• Additional expenses hast o be reported tot he supervisor
• When the committment is not being met, tell the supervisor in advance about it and find possible measures
• Booking of productive & non-productive hours
• Can takeover the team leaders tasks in his abscence

• To observe the cost objective according to the targets
• Appointment abidance for the piece list (assembly-unit) according to the way planning
• Quantity AM’s per quest
• Quantity of the piecelist addition per checklist
