Position – Supplier Quality Engineer

Salary – ₹5,00,000 – ₹6,00,000 a year

Job description

Work with Managers (divisional & supply chain) to ensure that Group technical and quality standards are achieved by suppliers through routine onsite inspection and audits.
Review supplier inspection reports and ensure they are being provided and sent to customers on time.
Work with Managers (divisional & supply chain) to ensure any products transferred to our Supply Chain network are done so in a structured and controlled manner.
Research and develop new suppliers to meet the social responsibility, cost and quality expectations by projects assigned.
Prepare and present regular, timely reports on quality performance metrics of existing suppliers.
To keep abreast of changes and developments of existing suppliers.
Perform specific tasks requested by the Supply Chain manager or the General Manager.

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University, in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline. Alternatively, a combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree may be considered.
Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of proven success in supplier quality control.
A good understanding of casting, machining, sheet metal forming, metal coatings & welding processes.
Background in Electrical grid components, gas distribution components or Hydraulic related components
Previous experience in procurement or production of components or products for export to Europe and/or North America.
