Job description
- Lead regional and/or global NPD projects or project/component modules.
- Work closely with Global Business Units to identify and execute projects from APAC R&D.
- Influence and collaborate with NPD project teams for Project Planning, Management & Execution to commercial launch as per BSC product development process (PDP) and quality systems.
- Drive divisional project portfolio commitments including, project budget and timelines.
- Annual, project-related resource planning and coordination of project deliverables.
- Manage Capex, Opex, and general expenses budgets.
- Work with functional managers on project labor planning.
- Develop and Lead strategies, apply Project Lifecycle Management best practices to achieve deliverables
- Coordinate Design Verification, Design Validation and Process Validation activities of NPD projects
- Liaison with cross functional peers and team members
- Marketing: deliver commercial products through the PDP cycle as per the business plan.
- QA: implement Quality systems and process as per the project Quality plan. Participate in quality audits.
- Supply Chain & Manufacturing: liaison with internal and external manufacturing sites to develop manufacturing strategies and participate in IQ, OQ, and PQ implementation.
- IP: Liaison with the IP team to develop and manage Portfolio IP estate
- Regulatory Affairs: Participate in the development of regulatory strategies and deliver product design to meet product claim requirements.
- Represent project matrix at the portfolio and internal sponsor meetings
- Liaison with internal stakeholders
- Manage cross functional project teams
- Present regular updates on project status roadmap to senior global and regional management
- People Management
- Assign roles & responsibilities as per the project plan
Qualifications
- Masters (or higher) degree in Engineering with preference Mechanical Engineering, or Plastics/Polymer Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
- 12+ years of Project management experience in the medical device field with 2 – 5 years in hands-on product design.
- PMP certification is a must.
- Experienced in Quality Management Systems like ISO 13485 and regulatory requirements for Class II and III medical devices.
- Working experience in delivering value solutions for emerging markets like BRIC countries will be an added advantage.
- Proficient in project management tools like MS Project.
- Project planning – resourcing, timeliness, quality, and budgets.
