Job Description

  • Good Understanding of ICE (Internal-combustion Engine) both Diesel and Gasoline system/Electric vehicle.
  • 2 years of min calibration experience on diesel/ gasoline/Hybrid/EV engine/ Motor and vehicle.
  • Knowhow of various electrical components like motors, battery, etc. and its functions
  • Knowledge of electrical circuits and calculations
  • Knowledge on Torque Structure
  • Capability to understand the SW document and logics associated
  • Calibration of the idle governor and torque split strategies
  • Calibration of the Hybrid system with respect to performance and range extension
  • Calibration of electrical components for best-optimized performance
  • Experience on Matlab and Simulink is required
  • Understanding of emission legislation for ICE, Hybrids & EVs (local regulations mainly)
  • Understanding on regulations applicable on Hybrid vehicles, EV (local regulations mainly)
  • Knowledge of electrical components and limitations. Like thermal & System limitations
  • Evaluate and assess vehicle attributes (performance, fuel economy, emissions, drivability) on the vehicle, engine dynamometer test cells, and environmental test cells.
  • Modify vehicle and powertrain control calibrations to improve fuel economy, performance, emissions, drivability, and diagnostics
  • Calibration for PM, NOx, HC, and CO reduction for Hybrid gasoline/Diesel powertrains
  • Perform software & calibration release procedures (verification and validation) for various sample stages as well as final production data
  • Willingness relocates or extensive travel as part of calibration activities.
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Self- motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Knowhow with ETAS tools and SW. INCA knowhow
  • Passion to work with Engine & Vehicle
  • Good English Language Skills
  • Engineering or Master Degree, Preferably from Automotive and Electronics engineering

Qualifications

  • Responsibility for assigned power electronics calibration work packages with respect to the fulfillment of requirements, quality, time and effort
  • In-vehicle calibration of powertrain control algorithms, with a focus on electric motor control functions and OBD diagnostic functions
  • Debugging/troubleshooting, utilizing Bosch proprietary tools, customer tools & generic tools
  • Analyze test data and document results into development reports
  • Verify calibration changes via in-vehicle tests
  • Perform software & calibration release procedures (verification and validation) for various sample stages as well as final production data
  • Willingness relocate or extensive travel as part of calibration activities
  • Feedback to function development regarding functional improvements
  • Coordinate the implementation of the electric drive control system with consideration for all internal, external and legal requirements
  • Developing and extending professional networks within Bosch and to external business partners
  • Regular status reporting of the assigned work package to project and line manager
  • Bachelor’s engineering degree, preferably in automotive, mechanical or electrical/computer engineering
  • 3 years of powertrain related work experience with an excellent working knowledge of electric powertrains
