Job Description
Diesel particulate filter (DPF) Calibration on Engine and Vehicle to meet target emission & performance, for all vehicle/engine segments (PC, LCV, Off-Highway, Genset, etc.)
DPF :
- Making EMS software functionality and a label list for the calibration of the DPF
- the DPF function’s first calibration
- doing the labcar’s mandatory preliminary tests
- preparing the appropriate test setup for engine/vehicle calibration operations
- DPF SW engine, labcar, and on-vehicle functionality tests
- Performing the appropriate engine and vehicle measurements in accordance with the demands of the functional specialists
- carrying out the required vehicle checks for DPF calibration
- carrying out calibration tasks under dyno and actual driving circumstances
- involvement in customer dialogue and regular status updates
- Review of calibration by calibration functional specialists
- analysis of field data and production of reports
- regular updates to the internal team and customers on the status of calibration activities
- Updated calibration information and status in ICDM and VCDM
Qualifications
Engineering or Master’s Degree from a reputed university. Preferably from Automotive or Mechanical or equivalent subject with 2 to 5 years of experience.
- good knowledge of diesel engines, especially the air system
- basic knowledge of the calibration processes for OBD, after treatment, and emissions
- basic knowledge of the DS’s engine and vehicle SW features
- use of programs like Dahlia, MDA, Uniplot, and INCA.
- Excellent communication abilities, self-drive, and initiative in a time-pressured setting.
- outstanding intellectual and problem-solving abilities.
- a readiness to relocate or engage in substantial travel for calibrating purposes.
- Quick to grasp technical relationships and effects.
- excellent teamwork skills.
- For vehicle calibration operations, good driving abilities.
