Within the Wireline Services division of Baker Hughes Oil Field Services and Equipment. Designing and manufacturing of a diverse range of electromechanical instruments. Wireline Downhole tools that operate in deep oil & gas wells under extremely harsh environments.

Manufacturing Engineers provide dedicated production line technical support in an exciting, customer-focused production environment. Providing quick and effective solutions to daily production issues. MEs provide reactive support for production process issues and contribute to longer-term process improvements to enhance productivity.
As a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Providing support for solving complex technical problems that arise in manufacturing production.
- Working with leading-edge technology, you will make key decisions, resolve issues, and oversee projects to shape enhancements.
- Mechanical manufacturing engineer with knowledge of high-precision machining processes and methodologies.
- Works directly with identified suppliers on best fits for material demand and the supplier capacity and capabilities.
- Capable of reviewing drawing and/or product documentation and understanding manufacturing processes that are required.
- Assists with technical questions on the first article part of production and provides clarification on specifications or processes.
- Maintains close relationships with identified suppliers to help the business grow a diversified and cost-efficient supplier base.
- Visit suppliers to review their processes, equipment, and capabilities to ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Understands manufacturing processes and alignment with supplier capability.
- Responsible for exchanging data and information interaction concerns and also improvements in products, processes, and procedures.
- Handles standardized manufacturing processes. Guidelines for choosing the right actions. Processes and procedures are frequently updated by other functions and have to be implemented in the department.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in a manufacturing engineering discipline.
- Have 3 – 5yrs as Mechanical Engineer, in manufacturing processes.
- Have knowledge of design for manufacturability, lean manufacturing techniques, and machining process
- Be a good team player and display good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to interpret engineering drawings/specs and manufacturing processes/evaluation.
