As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for Activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions, and systems. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components. Positions requiring an understanding of concepts, methods, and procedures (technical bachelor’s degree). Lead requisition jobs of Flange-to-Flange Centrifugal compressors for Turbomachinery products working with internal & Global stakeholders
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Understanding customer requirements and design details for a project and prepare 2D cross section of machine on NX in line with our policies and standards.
- Working closely with Calculation Engineers to understand the design details and finalize to have a standard machine to reduce cycle time.
- Having basic mechanical Knowledge and GD&T awareness, capability to perform hand calculations
- Reviewing the raw & machining drawings and release them in Team center PLM.
- Releasing Engineering docs in the VDR domain to customers and other stakeholders as per requirements
- Working closely with counterparts and leadership to provide necessary support & quality deliverables to Customers on the VDR domain.
- Working on priority to meet the metrics of On time delivery / Quality / Productivity. Work closely with suppliers in advance to meet the metrics.
- Developing automation abilities using digital tools and methods in order to produce faster and better outputs

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or College in Mechanical Engineering
- Have added advantage: 1-2 years of experience in being in requisition projects as a design engineer in mechanical design or a few years of experience as on-site in the Oil & gas industry would be added advantage.
- Have a willingness to get trained in the domain with utmost focus, a proactive approach, and commitment.
- Have a technical background in centrifugal compressors oriented toward the understanding of the P&I structure/base logic system, then related to the F2F detailed information. It shall be necessary for the fact to have a clear understanding of the base structure of the scope of supply applicable to each product/train of products, but it is not necessary to be the best expert on a specific TMS product.
- Be able to coordinate with a global team, suppliers & internal stakeholders to finalize the design
- Be able to bring new improvements in process, design & Cycle time reduction to be compliant with quality & business requirements.
- Have engineering effort knowledge to evaluate/manage out-of-STD requirements (when needed)
- Have a proactive and boundary-less approach. Sometimes it is necessary to scout information even beyond the Eng. World
- Have well committed to the target i.e., critical issue/workload pick to be managed in a very short time, so that even willing to leave usual routine when needed
- Have decision-maker proactivity to grow.
- Have expertise in Tools: UG Nx and Team center
