As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you are responsible for contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. It includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Executing the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. This work would include mechanical and/or electrical engineering for all products
  • Resolving problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent.
  • Working together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues.
  • Communicating with direct team and supervisor. Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have a Bachelor’s or Masters’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Have a minimum 0-3 years of industrial experience in mechanical equipment design and application
  • Able to demonstrate good computer skills and be familiar with cad modeling, FEA, and programming.
  • Understand material mechanisms such as static, fatigue, fracture, and creep behavior and implement relative FEA.
  • Able to work in an experienced people team giving an active contribution to the design and decision-making process.
  • Have an open approach to problem-solving and expanding the current theory to fill the gaps.
  • Have experience and background in manufacturing/reliability/material science is a plus.
  • Have basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, welding or cutting etc is a plus.
