Job Role: Proto shop Engineer (MDS), L3, R&D

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical engineering/ Production Engineering with 5+ Years’ Experience in area of Machining/ process planning. Preferably in Automobile/ Auto Ancillary industry having thorough Knowledge about Engine and Vehicle component machining.

Age Limit: 35 Yrs.

Job Profile:-

• Should have experience supported by strong decisive capability in manpower management, dynamic job scheduling and optimization in catering to project deadlines.
• Responsibility for handling General Purpose machines(Milling machines/ Grinding machines ), CNC machines (3 Axis/ 5 axis Machines), Gear Cutting machines.
• Should have the knowledge of fixturing and cutting tools for Machining centre/ gear cutting.
• Responsibility of preparing the CNC programs(EIA/ISO, MAZATROL) for CNC machines (3 Axis/ 5 axis Machines) and fixture design for parts machining.
• Design and planning for cutting tools, preparing drawings for required combination tools, profile tools.
• Should be able to read the CMM inspection reports, 3D scanning reports.
• Should have excellent communication skills to engage team members in coordination thereby scheduling and executing complete projects within stipulated timeframes.
• Perform any special additional assignments as directed by the superiors.
• Ensure safe working conditions for self and team members.
• Abide by company policies and follow shift timings

Technical Competencies:-

• Ability to understand requirements and schematics related to components and knowledge of tooling, gauges, and fixtures.
• In depth knowledge of CAD modelling and drafting software like UG NX, AutoCAD and CATIA etc.
• Working knowledge of machining centre, turning center & GPM machines etc.
• Knowledge of cutting tools and fixtures.
• Math competency in basic algebra, geometry and trigonometry
• Knowledge and Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of inspection & reading report of coordinate measuring machine.
• Knowledge of advanced materials science.

Additional skills:

• Preparing Presentations, and projects parts status reports.
• Preparing the 3D programs using UG CAM.
