Qualifications:

  • Preferably a Graduate in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering (IE) or related branch.
  • Experience in Auto Industry or MNC Engineering preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive Plant Improvement Plans: Develop, implement, and oversee plant improvement initiatives using the TPM methodology.
  • TPM Program Management: Design, monitor, and report on TPM programs and their progress.
  • Facilitate Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with teams to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and customer service through TPM strategies.
  • Routine Audits: Conduct regular equipment and production area audits to maintain TPM standards and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Standards and Adherence: Establish activity standards and ensure compliance across the plant.
  • Plan and Schedule Activities: Work with sub-committees to coordinate TPM training, coaching, assessments, and meetings.
  • Monitor Progress: Track schedules, timelines, projects, and benefits of TPM-related initiatives rigorously.
  • Team Engagement: Collaborate with pillar chairpersons and team members, providing training and acting as the primary TPM resource for the plant.
  • Promote Participation: Motivate teams to participate in competitions like CII, QCFI, and F&S, guiding them through preparation.
  • Set Standards and Review: Define time standards for activities, ensure periodic reviews of line balancing, and scrutinize service provider bills.
  • Manpower Optimization: Lead manpower saving initiatives for Bajaj Auto Limited and service providers.
  • Performance Reporting: Present plant performance in a structured manner during review meetings and audits through activity reports, pillar presentations, and plant presentations.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • TPM & Lean Manufacturing: Proficient in TPM methodologies and Lean manufacturing principles.
  • TPM Pillar Approach: Solid knowledge of TPM pillar functions and structure.
  • Industrial Engineering: Experience in industrial engineering activities.
  • Automobile Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with 3- & 4-wheeler systems (Petrol/Alternate Fuels) including engine, transmission, and vehicle operations.
  • Problem-Solving: Expertise in applying different problem-solving techniques.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, planning, coordination, and leadership abilities.
  • IT Proficiency: Well-versed in creating PowerPoint presentations and using Microsoft Office tools.
