Position – Project Engineer – Custom Design Industrial Air Treatment

Your mission

As a Project engineer within the Custom Design team of Industrial Air you always work on specific customer-oriented projects. You design the machine in such a way that it fits within the client’s application and meets its specific requirements.

The role

• You are responsible for the design of the electrical and mechanical equipment for compressors/dryers / filters and other components within the flow team of the Custom Design department.
• You will individually handle Skid design projects start from scratch by referring similar designs.
• You make design drawings and parts lists ready for production or adjust them within the foreseen time
• You consult with suppliers for the selection of parts / technical applications.
• You support the technicians with the assembly of skid designs during onsite projects.
• You take the master specifications, European guidelines and local standards, environmental and mechanical conditions, cost targets and quality standards into account when designing.
• You consider the milestones imposed by the Contract Engineer and the delivery date. You respond to this and adjust your schedule accordingly.

Skills and experience

• BE / B Tech in Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in the compressor industry or similar products.
• Experience in Skid design is mandatory

Knowledge

• Knowledge of Design Application skills, proven experience in mechanical design & drafting.
• Good Knowledge of compressor packaging and Skid design.
• Knowledge of Sheetmetal, Piping design, heavy fabrication is mandatory.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD –Inventor 3D Software and Autodesk Vault PLM.
• Knowledge of BPCS would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Skid instrumentation is a plus.

Personality requirements

• You will be a creative person who takes initiatives to understand and deliver output at the highest quality in specified time. You will be a committed team player and have good communication skills in English. You should be open, flexible and have no problems to stay in Europe for 6 months to 1 year.
